My kid first played tackle football in the DC beltway league in the 3 rd grade, at that age a couple of coaches stay on the field to help the kids. We were playing an all black team. After the first series my son comes off the field and says "dad they are saying kill the honkies, crush those f'ing crackers' I said don't worry kids will be kids. He says " dad it's their coaches yelling that "

I think that's a piss poor way to motivate kids and to teach them to grow up to be responsible adults.

If my kid was on a team and the coach said that, I'd pull the id off the team.

And I mean it.
