Israel is a new country, as time progresses, I believe it will also morph into a totally secular state with less Orthodox influence.

You speak as if it were founded by the Orthodox. It was founded by socialists, non-religious.

There is a much simpler way to understand the problem.

1) The United States forks over circ $3B/yr in support of a small foreign state, Israel.

2) If citizens of the USA want to move to Israel, Israel will apply a racial/religious preference system in deciding who they will accept.

Now if 2) were not true, obviously the displaced Pals could make it back to Israel via the USA.

The world needs to look at what roll ethnic states can/should play, and then clearly articulate this rather than ignoring it.
