>That seems a contradiction with teachers being against merit pay raises and elimination of tenure. Paying a poor employee more does not magically increase the quality of performance of that employee. Is that what you are implying?

Are they against merit pay raises unconditionally or against merit pay raises in lieu of their usual pay raises and tenure?

>Another example of racial hypocrisy. More black rap artists than white rap artists is not discrimination but more white country and western artists than black country and western artists is discrimination? Or that there are more black NBA players than white NBA players is not discrimination but more white PGA players than black PGA players is discrimination? Seems to be your perception by saying that the last 400 years have been stacked against the black man.

Are you telling me that the last 400 years have not been stacked against the black man?

re: Paying a poor employee more does not magically increase the quality of performance of that employee.

Actually, there are studies that show that it does. It:

*Enhances their perception of the importance of the job and the employee tend to take more pride in their work
*Makes the job more precious so that they work harder to keep it

Doesn't work with everyone but it works with most people.

Or that there are more black NBA players than white NBA players is not discrimination

Are you suggesting that whites face discrimination in the NBA and that's why there are more blacks than whites?
