also the corruption and the guy in florida trying to jump the male aids bones. it must have made a difference in close elections where you got a lot of protest crossover votes.

Our great hopes are Nancy and Harry!

Only if you accept the risk that the electorate will see how bad they really are and go back to the Republicans.

I agree with JDN... The economy is SO MUCH better than it was when Bush took over! I was a recruiter then, and believe me, we saw the economy headed south in March of 2000, BEFORE the election. REALLY headed south!

Perhaps we need to cut the foreign orders of goods we import...that would cut the deficit, would it not?

If Harry and Nancy are our great hopes we are in real trouble. I suspect when they raise taxes back to the previous levels and CONTINUE to spend (does anyone actually believe Dems will cut a budget?) we will spiral into a deflation and the old misery index will become popular again. then Bush will look pretty damn good in hindsight. Matters little to me, I am retired, the major portion of my investments is in Investment grade fixed income securities, I'll probably be better off, but my fellow Americans wont feel so good about it. jdn
