The internet is making the masses smarter. The old rules and standards of learning have changed. Things are getting worse and better all at the same time. We notice the worse more than the better. People see whats happening. People learn in different ways (in different mediums) . It takes time. The internet has created a whole new field of learning, and strength, and transmission of information. It's happening now. We aren't going back to our old way of thinking. The more pain experienced from any fallout provides new understanding. Blah Blah blah.

"why is this happening?"

Because, it's EMBARRASSING and HUMILIATING to be a Republican. It's like being a racist, or a "Liberal"!

It's the Bush effect. They may have to change their name, like "Liberals" went to "Progressive"!

JF, > Ten, why is this happening?

You said it yourself. Maybe if the true conservatives showed up in the Republican party, they can attract voters again.
