Go Waxman! I remember hearing a month or so ago that the Dems had some 100 hearings on the schedule.

Now that Republicans appear to be abandoning Bush (although probably not Cheney yet), maybe the half of the US that is asleep (or stupid) at the wheel will get a clue. I don't know anyone who will defend Bush even if they are rightwing Republicans and will always vote Republican.

I wonder if the GOP is thinking that they'll lose the presidency but take back Congress and try a repeat of the Clinton years. We need a progressive government. We've tried the righwing authoritarian one (yet again) and it's both incompetent and corrupt.

We don't need it again nor do we need its pale Democratic shadow. We need to make progress or the entire country will end up looking like Chrysler in another decade.

If I heard this correctly, we're even a net importer of food these days. That's pathetic.
