Actually, I think bars should be allowed to decide, but unlike you, I don't think that all restrictions on smoking are illegal intrusions on someone's freedom. Nor do I think smoking restrictions or seat belt laws will send us down a slippery slope to whatever alarmist nonsense you think will scare people.

BTW, in case you hadn't noticed it, slippery slope arguments are a favorite tactic of the intellectually challenged on the left where every little thing the government does to catch and prosecute terrorists triggers yet another look at what Bushhitler has done now!!! tirade. Such arguments are what the weak-minded fall back on when they can't make a coherent case in the issue at hand.
