When we're about 25 years down the road people will look back and see the good fortune Clinton walked into. Oil prices were down after Bush dealt with Iraq. Tangible technological advancement exploded in the early 90's and would have regardless of who was running the country. Interest rates were headed lower and continued to remain low. Paper wealth exploded and was easily moved for fast cash. This wasn't your daddy's economy!! It was an economy on crack and people were livin' fast & loose. Productivity gains and low unemployment didn't lead to inflation. Modern economics had to be tossed out the window because we had an economy that nobody had seen before. This even wasn't because of Clinton - nor did Al Gore create it as he insists <g>. This was a convergence of events that gave this country a jet propelled economy.
