You may have drinken the Bushie koolaid after 9-11. A lot of people did. But looking back, we can see how Bush ignored all the warnings leading up to 9-11, had no counter-terrorism unit whatsoever to replace CLinton's which Bush disbanded, and may have even intentionally let it happen, though I doubt he knew the details. In other words the whole idea of Bush-cheney being good at protecting us from terrorism is a total myth and contradiction. The facts on the ground are that Bush-cheney have helped terrorists and Iran and clobbered our own military, and we will soon be looking at a trillion dollar tab for it all. What a disaster. Clinton was not perfect but he was far more on the ball vis a vis terrorism than Bush, and Clinton was nort corrupted by big oil and other huge conflicts of interest Bush-Cheney have. I mean have you noticed how loyal Bush-cheney are to the Saudis and Dubai? More so than their loyalty to the USA. No exaggeration.

The idea that one can march for peace and then get on a don't fly list scares me 1000 fold more than the terrorists. The idea that people are duped into giving up precious civil liberties scares me more than the terrorists. I don't want this country to turn into something like Israel where armed soldiers are everywhere but they still can't stop the terrorism. A political solution is the only way to any real peace. The political situation is very complicated when it comes to the problems we face, but it is the only way.
