I'm thinking most of our alliances precede the Bush administration. -------------------- did russian extend the chinese civil war? no, russia shortened it, because the side it supported won Oh, the US extended the Chinese civil war but Russia shortened it. Of course, if Russia had not supported one side, the war would surely have been shorter and maybe the other side would have won. That comment is ironic considering in other posts you've talked about how China is moving in HK's direction now. China could h/b closer to HK's system much sooner if not for that winning side.
