I don't know much about what Wolfowitz is supposedly trying to do, but I strongly suspect that what he's really trying to do is something different from whatever is publicly stated. This guy is one of the principal architects of the invasion of Iraq. His motives then can only be guessed at, but we do know (a) that the stated reasons for the war were lies, and (b) he is a strong supporter of Israel. Some have claimed that he pushed for the war in order to further Israel's interests. Whatever the real story, as far as I'm concerned his credibility is blown forever.
