TJ,
China would have been fine in any case as China would have just "absorbed" whatever external entity that tried to dominate the nation.

I am very hopeful that China may be able to resist the tendency toward "one world government" which will eventually become a global dictatorship run by a tiny elite group. In China there may exist the last remaining government where the leadership actually serves the interests of the nation rather than working toward some "global" agenda. If China resists, then that can be an example and shining beacon to the rest of the world to resist the slide toward global dictatorship.

Jeffersonian democracy is defeated by the power of modern media, so a new model is needed. For the sake of the world I hope China is providing one.
