Saw Belinda Stronach on TV this morning. She said that she felt that right now her families business interests needed her, so she was not running in the next election. She said she was brought up to believe that she owed the country something and that Public Service was something she had been encouraged to do. Then she said, she never collected a salary while in office, every dime the country paid her went as donations to youth Charities. She said she had not served long enough to get a public sector pension either. That is something we should have heard from many other rich Canadian Politicians as well. Say what you like about Belinda, she every once in a while shows a certain class that we seldom see from Canada's money grubbing political class.
