I don't think the wing made much impression on the concrete. The wing tips survived because they missed the block. From the commentary and what you can see it appears that the plane was more or less reduced to dust. Surprising, isn't it? That's what happens when so much kinetic energy is converted to heat in such a short time. The temperature is apparently elevated enough to vaporize metal in a small volume close to the face of the concrete.

I wonder if Rogue is going to view this <g>
