What in the history of governments leads you to the conclusion that it will be done right? And if done right, who pays for the people who don't pay? Answer: The people who DO pay. Which means it can't be done right by the definition of fairness.

Universal health care done right can save this country billions in the adminstrative costs

It sounds like we have much in common. I am glad you stopped by here. We will have to agree to disagree on health care. It is my belief that free choice is a better plan than appointing government health care decision maker to decide who lives.

As is almost always the case, we don't find candidates who are ideal, then we are left voting for the least worst. In 2000 and 2004 the electorate appears to have made the correct choice each time.

I hate that President Bush refused to provide adult leadership on budgetary issues, but compared to the alternatives, he seems ok.

"On foreign affairs I like and abide by most legit and forthright contenders in the repub race; Chuck from nebraska , of course, is not included here."

Chuck is not a contender. He is a clown who doesn't know it.

"You know, they say every prez race is the most important for upcoming decades. pertaining to Bush 43, the conventional wisdom was spot on. It will be more spot on, imo, for '08."

The possibility of having the first President who knew over fifty people who died in questionable circumstances certainly has raised the bar. The possibility of having a Democrat President with more seats controlled by democrats in Congress certainly does cause alarm. Foreign leaders are probably concerned at the possibility of that causing a major global recession.
