If, and I know it is an extreme fantasy, but IF the United States made a determination that it was going to win in Iraq, and said so, said quite simply we are going to Win, only we are going to stop counting Iraqi Casualties as having anything to do with us, but we are going to kill anyone who attacks an American and maybe his entire family, and possibly everyone he knows. You could forseeably leave Iraq in the next 2 years. If you decided to execute everyone at guantanamo next Tuesday, and did so, you might be out in 18 months. As long as you count and whine over every single person who is killed, you are not fighting a war, you are being policemen. Policemen don't fight wars, they investigate stuff. Terrorists win because we advertise for them. We accept their tactic. Kill them, simply stop messing around and kill your enemies. They will quickly learn to fear you, and when they are afraid, they will want peace. Being nice doesn't work on the american Border, it hasn't improved life for Black's and it won't help in Iraq. Either fight to win, or come home. Fighting to not fight doesn't work.

I believe that too, John....but unclewest has been there, and I haven't. It's got to be hard to know what to do My understanding of unclewest's position in not to "pull out now". He wants to toughen up the rules of engagement AND substantially increase the "unconventional warfare". These changes should not limited to Iraq. We have wasted alot of our own lives and equipment by pussy footing around. I love President Bush but he has allowed himself to be influenced by the PC crowd and as a result the war has been feminized. Bush 41 "pulled out" too soon.
