Skeptical is one thing....cynical is another....

taking a stand on a subject that you know almost nothing of is not being skeptical.

personally, I don't think you should say word 1 about this subject since you have no depth of knowledge related to it. The best you can offer is generic opinion to those who may already be open to improper suggestion.

I've spent 15 years living it and researching it.....and I still don't offer much publicly unless asked.....it is dangerous to mess with the minds of those needing "medical" intervention regardless of whether is is Western or Easter or from Uranus.

CNN had two hours on health medications last night.

The CNN health writer who just did a book,Deep Chopra.. ex. spelling....
and the author or another current book on health were on as well as Lance Armstrong who talked about how he discovered his cancer after ignoring blood in his urine etc. The Doctors told him it was from straining on the bike...

Deepok Chopra who was the oldest said one thing about herbal medications. There were many that he once recommended and
supported that are no longer viable.. He said he had never had any surgery, gone to a Dr. nor had he been sick...ever.
I think I will buy HIS BOOK. But back to what he said about herbal meds.

Example. He used to recommend 1000 units of Vit. C daily but found most of it was passed out in urine..

Vit. E is not as important as it once was.

Conclusions of the two hours as best as I can summarize:

Herbal medications are fine and have their place and in many instances surpass the traditional medications.

Omega oils are of great benefit...Everyone should be on them.

The B Vitamins...Very important as is Selenium..

Women should take additional calcium...

Good diet however takes the place of almost any medication. To remain healthy. Exercise... both cardio but also resistance training... weights for women and men.

Eating a good breakfast..

Eating 7 different colored foods a day.... and at least 3 of these fruit.

Raw is better than cooked.

Not over eating. One should leave the table not completely filled.

Then this morning there was another health station on the radio offering the 10 worst foods.

I was not fully awake so I only got three: mashed potatoes..
a no no. Orange Juice on an empty stomach first thing in the morning .. no no... and ice cream...

Milk is being questioned all the time as to how good it is for you as in countries where there is longevity milk is not drunk.
