well since salaries have actually FALLEN for most professionals in the 8 years since Bush has been president... plus the market has been in a secular bear something we haven't seen sinc ethe 70s-

even if taxes were computed using pre-Bush rules it wouldn't matter

It was the GOP that enacted the tax cuts with a sunset provision precisely because otherwise deficit projections for out-years would have been stratospheric. The party that wasn't willing to face financial reality now insists Democrats continue to do the same, and Democrats should reject that notion.
