Bush fired one third of IRS lawyers responsible for investigating big-big mega-millionaire tax cheats. Now the word is the IRS is targeting the middleclass and leaving the zillionaires alone.

In 1996, the top 1% paid 31.6% of the taxes. Today, the top pays 35.6%.

The top 10% paid 62% in 1996, today the top 10% pays 67.6%.

The top 50% paid 95.6% in 1996, today the top 50% pays 96.6%.

The bottom 50% paid 4.4% in 1996, today they pay 3.4%.
