LOL! No, if you recall, that was Stalag 13! "I know nothhhhing!"

Actually, the Germans kept meticulous records of the POWs. I've seen their data card on my FIL, complete with his rank and picture. They were very efficient of taking all the goodies out of the Red Cross packages that were sent to the POWs -- gum, candy, anything good to eat, etc. They had no use for the big blank journal books sent by Red Cross so my FIL got to keep his and wrote in it every day. I've seen it and it brings me to tears every time I read it. He said he had nothing to do and all day to do it in, so he logged down every letter, poems and stories written by others and so forth.

Stalag 3 was the Camp The Great Escape was made from. My FIL was not involved in that and most of the Brits who escaped were caught and executed.
