Liar. Cheney withheld 650,000 HAL options and a $150,000 per year salary after promising voters he had 100% divested. He got caught and donated the 650,000 options to the University Of Wyoming to build some kind of shrine to his criminal greed. It's not charity, it's a bribe so some institution will honor his badly soiled legacy.

The no-bid Halliburton contracts poured out of the White House starting in 2002-2003. After Katrina hit the first thing the White House did was award Halliburton a no-bid contract for 500 million. Just huge obvious corruption.

You're on very thin ice when you start trying to defend Dick Cheney on ethics issues. He's the worst there is. And a huge liar too about the most important issues. He's been 100% wrong and 100% dishonest since day one, tragically. I used to respect the guy but he turned into the biggest crook we've ever seen in the US government.

HAL was near bankruptcy in '01 before Big Dick Cheney came to the rescue.

Under Bush-Cheney HAL stock has gone up 400% due to huge no-bid contracts with almost no accountability. HAL is also a huge tax evader.

I bought HAL stock 5-7 years ago at $21 a share so I know.
