If someone is attacking my wife, I'm not going to sit there and tell her to "turn the other cheek." Ideally, we both should be doing that, but we're hardly ideal Christians. Hence her safety comes before anything else. Therefore, if it comes down to a split-second choice between her death and the attacker's, guess which one I'll choose? Now you tell me as a non-believer.
