Can you actually be an Islamic atheist? I mean are you still Islamic if you no longer believe in Islam? Wouldn't he or she be a former Islamic atheist? Technically speaking?

Who knows? I was reading some article in the WSJ the other day about militant atheism's rise, and it discussed a Muslim woman in the US who had started an atheist Muslim group. I guess it was for former Muslims who have become atheists, but I got the impression she thought of herself as Muslim in the way non-practicing Jews think of themselves as Jews.

But I don't know. But I do know that the life expectancy of atheist Muslims is probably very short!
