For the time being and consider the relative scarcity of the stock after the IPO yes.

I think that companies like Lehman GS etc can not necessarily compared to the brokers.
But that 20 PE shall be compared to ETFC, AMTD this is correct.

On the other hand look at the PEs of
NDAQ - 33,
CME - 48,
BOT - 59,
NYX - 68,
NMX - 69

Now what?

I think it can reach a PE between NDAQ and the CME ~40.

Even worse is that there is NITE, having a PE of just 12.

IB will have some harder time to attract bidders IF.... that trend continues. AMTD and ETFC earnings have not been meaningful. ETFC also trading down some 5%.

Brokers trim outlook...

Maybe... I have to reassess positions in exchanges and brokers.
