The first casulity in this kind of media war is the truth. We know very little yet. One thread seems to be they thought it was a domestic dispute, and that they had the guy. frankly that sounds like police and administration spin being used to justify their inaction....i did not hear any comments in the 2 press conferences i watched in which they gave a legitimate reason for that erroneous assumption on their part.... and yes i realize no one 'officially knows'....ballistic tests need to be done, witness interviews.... but what we do know is that 2 hours went by before students were given notice, and that was MORE than enough time for the murderer to do this evil act...my guess is by the time the warning went out the bodies were on the floor
