If the media would have been involved sooner, this whole thing could have been contained to a small headline no one would have noticed. However, the university's monumental mistake in keeping the bomb threats and shootings "contained", led to 30 unnecessary deaths. I'm not sure the President of VA Tech should not be facing criminal negligence.

"wish the media would get the heck out of town, and let us deal with the situation in our small town way that we know..."

Well, YOU'RE the "media" now too, Kumar. I have questions about the massacre, like, who was the guy, was it one or two guys, what were their motivations? But, I can wait for the answers.

Besides, doesn't something like that happen in Iraq EVERY DAY? Where's your sense of proportion?
