I was amazed as I watched gun control issues roll out before the bodies had even cooled. If campus security had been able to carry a weapon some of this might not have happened. Even though it shouldn't happen - heads are going to roll over this because we can't handle having a dead suspect. We have to ruin the life of someone living before we can be satisfied - what a cryin' shame

No, I do understand the difference. If someone is killed locally, people take more notice because it seems more likely it can happen to them. When they die far away, it seems we are safer.
