Here's an email I got from a friend about what happened when a relative of hers was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago:

You probably don't know -- why would you? -- that _____ has late-stage untreatable lung cancer. She's
actually feeling pretty well at present, and faces her situation with
irrepressible humor: "When I got the diagnosis, I went over to
Trader Joe's and bought a case of champagne. You might as well party
as long as you can." A model for us all.

She's pushing 80, I think, and maybe 50 years ago wouldn't have been so philosophical, but still...

Rarebird:

I often do a number on myself such as.. if I had my life to live over....

The one salient thing, however, is that I would have been a student of history.. The subject that I did not like now has become my favorite.. I think that instead of psychology the
study of what man has done to himself and the world might
be more interesting..(:)

If no one has visited your site which is most inspirational give them the info. has to how to get to it. I read it all the time.. You are a philosopher..

AND RARE.
