"Yep, primarily a political response, not a practical one." Everything is a political response with this group. Nothing is more important. "And of course the no-bid contracts for contributors..." It is almost amusing. The right was livid, heck, they still are, about the Clintons hosting big contributors and letting them sleep in the Lincoln bedroom. Yet they totally ignore that Bush has raised this to a high art form. Not only that, they get appointed to various offices and get awarded no-bid contracts. Yet not a peep about it from the Clinton bashers. Despite Clinton being but a piker in comparison.
