Democrats are for common sense gun control to keep military weapons out of the hands of extremist nuts, the mentally unstable and criminals. The NRA opposes two-thirds of that, and are also pushing for more and more automatic and semi-automatic weapons as well as Castle Laws where you can legally shoot and kill anyone who makes you feel even remotely threatened. You can even lie about it and get away with it. So murder becomes legal. The Brady Bill came out of the Reagan family. We Democrats support that. It is moderate and common sense. Most people support that. But the NRA has such a huge corruptive influence that they are able to push through radical gun liberties which are like you'd expect to find in Pakistan. So no wonder we have more and more gun violence, especially amongst kids.
