And I don't mean the Roman General who conquered England..

I am talking about the Latin word for farmer...and much of my family were just that.

I never had a course in Latin, but as a high school freshman I had a course in Greek roots. That has helped me to understand English more than any course in English I ever had. I wish I had studied Latin too.
