My biggest take from all of that is just how dumb we can be simultaneously and at multiple levels from bottom to top.

I suspect it has a lot to do with the NIH theory in government circles, at least, based on my personal experience.

Gosh...the government does begger the imagination, doesn't it? Maybe all of us should find who the DHS top talking head in our State is (under Secretary of State info, maybe) and email them to ask who has info in our local communities...

Found out from another speaker to our group that ours is the Fire Department and next the Police Departments that have the info.... but as to what to do, exactly in an emergency that will last for some time, is hard to know....Have lots of water and some food, with some medical supplies...and if there is an emergency, hope it happens when we are at home where all that stuff is...

That seems to be the sum total of the available public info...except for your book...
