Israel is not theocratic, its ethnic jewish. Religous groups have influecne but never have control. Israel is a democracy, albeit not perfect but neither are we. How does israel hurt the US? What is your solution to the israel/pal deadlock--please something realistic and not your wet dream of some multi ethnic paradise. Maybe if we can agree on an issue or two, we can reduce the level of venom in our discussion. I am willing to chat today.

Are you saying the Israeli rabbis elect the Israeli government? That would be a theocratic democracy, I think.
