STEAK?!!? I sure don't remember us eating steak OR lobster. They did make a great oyster stew that I tried to eat my own weight in every time they had it. As I recall, we ate lots of roast beef and pork. Chicken fixed a bunch of ways. Of course, the holidays was always turkey and the fixen's. Everyone complained most of the time, but truth be told, it wasn't that bad.

OTOH, I spent a total of 6 months at Fort Belvoir going to school. This, of course, is an Army base. Worst military chow I ever had, all the time.

c'mon now...I can agree with "relatively good"....but really "good"????
