Ted, > Getting back to you.......was he disturbed because he was Korean, or was he disturbed because he is human?

Now that I think about it, if you had to live in the shoes of a Korean-American teenager growing up these days, you'd probably be surprised at all of the stress placed upon you.

And I'm not saying that to be smug. I'm saying that because it may have been a factor. I hear the shooter's older sister went to Princeton. Imagine his parents, the owner of a dry cleaning shop, telling Seung Hui, "Your sister went to an Ivy League. Why couldn't you?" Those comparison games used to drive me nuts. Imagine how they could have affected a potential mass murderer.

As for gun control laws, I think both sides are going to hurt their case by calling this a "random act," which I believe it is. Gun control advocates would be punishing law-abiding citizens for a "random act," while 2nd amendment advocates would have no answer for how to prevent potential psychopath murderers from getting their hands on a gun. Having everyone carry firearms to class is not a viable solution in my mind because most of us would rather not have to.
