The powers that be love an unarmed populace. It was so much easier to gun down the early strikers during the formation of the unions in the early 20th century. Personally, I am a pacifist. i gave up fighting long ago. I hope I never have to make a decision like that 77 yr. old teacher made, but if I am put in that position, I really hope I respond as he did. For every wacko incident like Cho, the are many more stories of bravery where unarmed bystanders stop an armed freak.
