A year or two ago an industry group compiled the costs associated with typical clinical trials and arrived at $26,000 for each enrolled patient in a trial. Easy to extrapolate total cost if enrollment figure is known., Usually runs into the millions which are paid for by the sponsoring company. Those conducting the trials are the recipients of this money
