Yes there is a balance that needs to be achieved. Too much spending and too high taxes are a very bad thing. Too much spending without the tax revenue to pay for it is worse.

Government spending pulls money away from private investment, whether its paid for by taxes, borrowing, printing/inflation, or command and control central command.

Not all gov't spending is bad and not all private spending is good. You are obsessed and possessed over this issue.
