The Washington Post has the first printed link between the Virginia Tech shootings and video games, based on interviewing people who knew the shooter, 23 year old Cho Seung Hui. Here is a key quote:

<<...Several Korean youths who knew Cho Seung Hui from his high school days said he was a fan of violent video games, particularly Counterstrike, a hugely popular online game, in which players join terrorism or counterterrorism groups and try to shoot each other using all types of guns...>>

Right-o. CBS, sans-Rather, was particularly pathetic in its hyperventilating report tonight.

I see very little understanding in the media of the reality of disconnectedness (is that a word) in the world. As long as people are connected, rooted, grounded in society they will seek to preserve it. When they feel that they are not a valued part of that society, they will seek revenge in one way or another.

IMO that's what makes Dubya who he is...Babs and Poppy did a real number on his head and he's taking it out on Iraq and on us.

I also forgot to add, showing this Ninja-type character, also SELLS more FEAR in a less than subtle way.

Something we have been sold for years which also propels further down that slippery slope...
