Well, the Fed has engaged in massive printing in the past 2
weeks, so I think the USD might just slice through 80 some
time very soon. 2 back to back coupon passes last week, 2
coupon passes this week. Mortgage-backed securities and
derivatives are deteriorating fast.
Clearly, their agenda seems to be to print
housing and banks out of trouble, not real inflation, not the
dollar. Not that we didn't know. These coupon passes do
cause the dollar decline to accelerate, just like they cause
broader stock market rallies.
