There are plenty of institutions selling XMSR. For 4Q '06 the following institutions holding 1,000,000 shares or more bailed out completely:

Ark Asset Mgmt (2.2mm shares)
Highbridge Capital (2.7mm shares)
Brookside Capital (2.7mm)
Thales Fund Mgmt (1.3mm)
TCS Capital Mgmt (2.3mm)

On top of that, there were plenty of players that sold a large chunk of their shares, led by:

Delaware Mgmt (sold 16mm shares, only has 41,900 shares left)

Also:

Transamerica (sold 1mm, 257,000 left)
SEI Investments (sold 1mm, 262,000 left)
Alger Management (sold 2.2mm, 4.9mm left)
Franklin Resources (sold 3mm, 6.6mm left)
Goldman Sachs (sold 1.3mm, 17.2mm left)
AXA (sold 4.5mm, 31.3mm left)

Given the stock action thus far this year I'd imagine that many more institutions have been bailing.

The vast majority of XM shares continue to be held by institutions last I heard. If you have updated data that shows me wrong, how about posting it? And please, no links to Sirius Rich's posts -- he has a long history of lying when the truth would do better.
