Yes. First they asked that the countries adjacent to them not join NATO. In fact, the US encouraged those nations to join NATO....not that I disagree.

During the past two years, Russia has objected strongly to the missile shield the US is strongly pushing to be placed in Eastern Europe. They don't want missiles right next door and for that, I don't blame them. And I don't want any more missiles period.
