MJ, I don't understand..what is it about these remarks that makes you request an apology for Virginians?..what is it that Obama does not get? I didn't see anything directed at Virginians per se..what did I miss.. While thru the 70s-80s, violence was ripping thru inner cities and affecting mainly Black and other Minority groups, the White population did 2 things: ran away from it and expanded the suburbs and pegged it as a 'Black' problem..a 'minority' problem..'they' live like 'that'..then Columbine happens and the other violence committed in primarily White Suburban towns across this country that doesn't necessarily make headlines like the school shootings..date rape began, so to speak, in middle class White suburbs.. I happen to agree with what Obama said..children die because of violence every single day, many times a day all across this country..I don't see anyone on these political threads nor the presidential candidates for that matter, bringing that up..
