There was a rumor that the parents of Seung Hui tried to kill themselves, but that turned out to be false. Doesn't seem too far-fetched, though.

Did you see the interview with his Aunt in Korea? She said even as a young boy in America he wouldn't communicate; that her sister, his mother, was very concerned. Apparently, the kids made fun of his accent at school. He was bullied a lot as well.
