BERLIN (Reuters) - A man shot dead his ex-wife in a busy terminal building at Stuttgart airport as she prepared to take a flight, police said on Saturday.

Breaking News Alerts The 31-year-old man fired several shots, killing his 25-year-old former wife and injuring a male bystander, a police spokeswoman from the nearby town of Esslingen said. Both the man and his ex-wife were of Serbian origin.

The woman had intended to take a flight for Pristina, the capital of Serbia's breakaway province of Kosovo.

The gunman fled after the shooting but was caught by police officers in the airport car park. The motive for the shooting was unclear.

This kind of husband/wife and wife/husband shooting happens at least weekly in this country and I wish this country had only one school shooting per year. My God, last year, a minister's wife shot her husband, the minister, in the back:

Even the devout are killing each other with guns in this country. And you're trying to defend the use of guns. Shame!

Eric, the bottom line is that America's violent crime is out of control and our gun control laws are too weak.
