I know you guys are talking about guns, which I think should be highly restricted in this country, but you mentioned abortion, so I have to voice my opinion on that because I have a wild hair on me right now...

Banning of partial birth abortions is the first step towards an America that is more cognizant of how precious life is. Honestly, anyone who has seen early sonograms simply can't deny that what's in there is a little human being with all that entails. Abortion is murder plain and simple. I think this whole idea of choice is plain ridiculous. No one has a God given right to a choice of whether or not they kill their unborn child. Only God has that right. The only real choices that women and men should have under the law is whether or not they participate in unsafe sex that might result in pregnancy.

And for those of you who I'm sure will flame me and try to trap me into inconsistencies of thinking...no, I don't believe abortion is justified even in the case of rape. Why punish an unborn child for the sins of some perverted guy? I'd rather see the rapist have his jewels cut off than see an unborn child murdered.

Sen. Lieberman said it best a long while ago. He said that as technology improves we find it necessary to push the timing of when abortion is illegal closer and closer to the time of conception. His conclusion was that human understanding of fetal development would ultimately conclude that abortion at any time should be illegal due to the realization that human life at any stage is too precious to squander. I couldn't believe he said that, but this was a long time ago. Don't know if he's still singing the same tune, but I think he hit the nail on the head.

Life is precious. End of story...Ban the guns and ban the abortions.

>And the primary use of abortion is not to kill the unborn child.

Well, if you don't see it as a child, then that goes out the window...
