The point is the NRA has made it FAR too easy to get weapons, lobbying hard against any but the the most minimal and almost useless background checks. And instead of coming out after VT and admitting we need a safer process, the NRA is stonewalling, name-calling and even blaming the victims for not being heavily armed themselves. That is hogwash. When it comes to guns, the deadliest of products sold in our society, there must be ways to screen out the mentally deranged, and Cho had a record of insanity. So now we need to install new laws to create psychiatric background checks. Whatever has to be done has to be done because we've got an avalanche of guns in our society, 200 million by some counts and growinjg every day. That is what is totally insane.
