Police have assault weapons. There should be a general ban on assault rifles for public use. There should also be a ban on body armour for public use. Think of some creep getting ahold of an AR armalite, manning body armour and shooting up some public area. The carnage would be huge. The police would have a hard time stopping the sicko. The arms race in law enforcement is due to the NRA. It used to be a .38 was enough for a cop, but the NRA has been pushing heavier and more automatic weapons into the population for decades and now the cops sometimes feel overpowered with even a Glock. Next they'll have to have machine-guns, then what? Grenade launchers? It's all so insane and makes no sense whatsoever. The whole philosophy of the NRA needs to be exposed and shunned by society. It has nothing to do with hunting or self-defence, it's a culture of military arms addicts. That's why I call them penis extenders, there's no rational need for them, NRA nuts just like to feel like Rambos, and some of them are insane or reckless and get people killed.
