I didn't call you a liar. What you posted was certainly a lie and thus you were lying- but there is the possibility you don't know you were lying. I certainly leave that open. Even after I pointed it out, you could still believe in your alternate reality, I suppose. Not a particularly attractive alternative- but I leave it open. I don't think you've tried very hard to be polite. Polite people admit when they are wrong. I can handle you being wrong just fine, but I'm not going to be pleased when you lie about what is said here. You can count on that- and if you can't handle it, you have many alternatives.

Bill - Excuse me for interjecting here, but the things you said on your thread don't even come close to accurately characterizing the positions of anyone here. Certainly not Iktomi's. Pointing out that your representation of her views was so distorted as to be "lying" isn't name-calling. It's calling you on your behavior. By the way, you have no moral standing where name-calling is concerned, having long ago compared the participants here to squawking chickens. Do you call that polite? I think you've been treated more fairly than you deserved to be after that. - Allen
