The press isn't measuring its performance by how accurate, complete and useful their reporting is, they're measuring the thickness of their bank account. As long as they stay employed and their corporate advertisers stay with them, what do they care about ethics, decency and democracy.

This is how coarse the rightwing US culture has become.
